How would you describe your overall experience with the ECA certification program?

Seamless. The process is very easy to follow. Having both a video and written content mirroring the same points is ideal as it allows users to learn with their desired method. With the added bonus of repetition, cementing that knowledge for the long term.

Were there any specific sections or content in the certification program that you found exceptionally helpful?

Segregation of different age groups. This really helps users understand the many different approaches and applications in teaching kids of different ages. How they learn, what they respond to, their general behaviours. I felt very equipped to teach a wide range of ages!

How has the knowledge you gained from the certification program improved your capacity to coach youth in esports?

The basic framework of the lesson plans provides such a great structure for the classes. As children's attention spans are short, the varied activity within the program helps to retain their attention throughout lengthy 90-minute sessions! Physical warmups are pivotal to the course and has become the unique and iconic staple of the program!

What would you say to someone who is thinking of going through the ECA certification program?

The course will give you a new outlook on how to interact with children. How to identify things that they may be struggling with and how to create an optimum improvement strategy and plan that is specific to them. Above all, it will make you a great parent one day!

How has the ECA platform helped you make and run your esports training programs?

I mentioned this before, but the general class structure is brilliant. However the ability to drop and drag different exercises to create personalised courses has proved invaluable! I have the freedom to make the course my own.

Can you provide an example of a specific problem you encountered in creating an esports training program, and how the ECA platform helped you to resolve it?

I was struggling to figure out how to lengthen my Valorant bootcamp days in terms of lesson structure. Luckily the ECA team were there to help via direct message from discord. Within 24 hours I had a personalised itinerary for a full 5 days Valorant bootcamp.

How have the tools and features of the ECA platform enhanced the efficiency or effectiveness of your training programs?

With the wide range of premade courses and exercises available on the platform. If I am ever short of time to create a lesson, the library will be able to provide me with a lesson that I have confidence will be of the highest level.

In terms of engagement and learner outcomes, how has the ECA platform impacted the participants in your esports training program?

The ECA's course structure has enabled the perfect blend of social focused learning with individual progression. During the in-game drills section of the lesson, students have the opportunity to speak 1 on 1 with their coach to go through any areas that they may be struggling with. This enables the students to feel they have a safe space to express their opinions and voice their concerns in a nurturing environment, which only accelerates their improvement.
